Samsung announced few exiting electronics stuff in CES 2013 in that the most interesting announcement is 8 core processor formobile phones. Samsung promises that this processor will use 70% less battery compared to the before processors like Exynos 5 Dual.
This processor is powerful as well as its saves the power usage of the battery. Actually the 8 core processor is divided in to two parts one is for the higher end performances which uses Cortex A 15, it is clocked at 1.8 GHz and the other part is for the basic operationsit uses Cortex A 7, this consumes lesspower which save the battery and this is clocked at 1.2GHz.
As it is an 8 core processor it will definitely support the high end graphics and gaming etc. The main thing about this is that it will release an netbook in Q3 or Q4 of 2013. These eight core processors consumesless battery when compared to dual-core Exynos 5, which currently runs the backbone of the Nexus 10. We can expect a mobile or the note from samsung in third quarter of 2013.
There is no further announcements about the devices which contains Eight core processor. But this processor gives an great competition to Tegra 4 from NVIDIAand the Snapdragon 800 from Qualcomm. Any further info about the Galaxy devices build with Exynos 5 OCTA processor.
