Samsung announced the launch of number of new Android and Windows 8-powered devices at a special event in London last night.
The list also includes the new Android-based Galaxy NX camera that which also has an interchangeable lens system, the Ativ Q Tablet which has dual-OS, and the world’s thinnest Windows 8 tablet, Ativ Tab 3.
Samsung also showcased the new versions of the Galaxy S4, which include the Galaxy S4 mini, Z4 Zoom with a 16 megapixel point-and-shoot camera and the S4 Active with water and dust-proof body. The South-Korean firm also added new colour options for the Galaxy S4. These are Blue Arctic, Purple Mirage, Red Aurora, Brown Autumn, Pink Twilight.
Here’s a look at what Samsung launched:
Ativ Q: This is another Windows 8 tablet but with dual-boot ability, which means that it also runs Google’s Android 4.2.2. Users will not only get access to Android apps via Google Play but also be able to transfer files from Windows 8 to Android.
Samsung says the Ativ Q has the world’s highest resolution more than full HD displays. Ativ Q has a QHD+ HD screen at 3200×1800 pixels which comes to around , 275 ppi for 13.1-inch screen size. It has an Intel Core i5 processor, Intel HD Graphics 4400, 4GB RAM and 128GB SSD. It has up to 9 hours battery life.

Ativ Tab 3: This is a Windows 8 tablet which Samsung claims is the world’s thinnest Windows 8 tablet and is only 8.2 mm thick.
The Ativ Tab 3 also comes with SPen and a 10.1 inch screen with 1366×768 pixels resolution. It has an Intel ATOM Z2760 processor, 2GB RAM and 64GB Hard Disk Space. The device also has one micro USB 2.0 port, micro HDMI and a slot for a micro SD card.
Both Ativ tablets have SideSync which allows users to switch from PC mode to an Android-based Samsung smartphone.
